Join ongoing efforts to stop garlic mustard from spreading into nice woodlands! We will be hand pulling and removing this aggressive invasive weed. Early detection and rapid response, pulling any small infestations, will keep garlic mustard at bay in the high quality woodlands in the park. Meet at the East Graham Boat Launch parking lot on the north side of Predmore Road in the park’s North Unit. GPS coordinates: 42.786267, -83.190904 Please arrive early as we will likely caravan to a different site.

Garlic mustard season has arrived! Join us as we work to remove invasive garlic mustard from the forested dunes at this lakeside park! Volunteer stewards will be removing garlic mustard, an unwanted forest pest, from the trailhead and main beach trail before it has a chance to hitch a ride on an unsuspecting hiker. Meet at the main park entrance off of 138th street. Be sure to dress to work in the woods and arrive on time in case we need to hike to the work location! Meeting location: 42.705085, -86.190674.
