Nature Hannah
http://www.twincities.com/2015/05/12/battling-buckthorn-woodbury-inventors-have-your-back/ Any success with these? Any other species they might work on?
Katie Grzesiak
One of ISN's partners, the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy, is using them with a large-scale autumn olive project (when they use Scout labor). They just started last year, so I'm not sure about long-term results, but so far so good! To my knowledge, they are supposed to work for any woody invasive. Jon Throop
Hey Hannah, sorry for the delayed response! As Katie mentioned, we did a project with boy scouts to use these on an area of cut autumn olive, and they actually DID NOT work! The way autumn olive suckers grow at an angle completely bypasses the bags. These are very effective in controlling buckthorn, and we're actually picking up some more for that purpose.
